Last year, a developer proposed a Super Wal Mart shopping center with several outparcels and big box stores. The land is between the Lowes Foods Center and the strip mall with the Snappy Lube and Auto Bell. The front property, next to Knightdale Blvd., was already zoned for highway business. The plan called for rezoning of property in the back from residential to business. This back property is next to 30 single family homes. The Land Use Review Board (LURB) recommended against rezoning the land yet the Town Council approved the rezoning anyway.
Do you think the Town Council did the right thing by rezoning the land to accomodate this 51 acre development?

a) No, it hurts the homeowners property values.
b) No, because it will cause heavy traffic on neighborhood streets.
c) Both a and b
d) Yes, the council did the right thing.
e) I don't know.
